We ask that every participant raises a minimum of £200 in sponsorship, which will go towards the running of Battersea. We ask for this to reach us within two months of the event taking place. You will receive lots of fundraising advice and support to help you reach your goal: the more sponsorship you raise, the more our animals will benefit.

Terms and conditions

We require a registration fee for this event which is non-refundable, and which must be paid at the point of registration. We ask that every participant also raises a minimum sponsorship amount for Battersea. Any money raised in connection with the event is held on trust for Battersea and must be passed to Battersea. We ask that all participants do this as soon as possible after the event. 

By signing up to the Asics 10k, you pledge to raise a minimum of �200. We ask that all sponsorship money be passed to Battersea within two months following the event. All sponsorship money raised will go towards the running of Battersea/our three centres. You can: Pay via your event online giving page, pay over the phone by credit or debit card by calling 020 7627 7883, send a cheque payable to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to Challenge Events, Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, 4 Battersea Park Road, London, SW8 4AA or send an online transfer - please contact the Events team for details at events@battersea.org.uk.

Please be aware that this event is a physically strenuous activity and will need a certain amount of training and preparation before participating on the day. It is therefore strongly recommended that all participants seek medical guidance from their GP as to their suitability for the event itself, and the training and preparation that they will need to do prior to the event.

Battersea cannot be held responsible for any injury or illness incurred during participants' preparation and/or participation in the event.
By registering, all participants confirm they are of minimum age for the event on event day, as set by the event organisers.

All participants acknowledge that Battersea may incur costs as a result of them signing up for a place, e.g. for a Battersea t-shirt or vest. The objective is to raise as much sponsorship as possible to ensure these costs are covered and as much money as possible goes towards the animals in Battersea's care.

The Asics 10k is a third-party managed event. By registering to participate on behalf of Battersea, participants personal data may be shared with the event organiser in order to ensure and facilitate participation in this event. 

Battersea will contact you about your participation in this event with important information, support and fundraising ideas. We will not send you any other marketing by email, text or telephone unless you have provided your permission for us to do so. We may send you marketing by post in line with our Privacy Policy, available at Battersea.org.uk/privacy.

Battersea may use images and footage of participants at this event under our legitimate interest to publicise Battersea and our work. Images and footage will be used across media such as television broadcasts, advertising, print and digital publications, marketing material, merchandising, social media, personalised direct mail, and other media that may be available to the public. If you do not want your image used in these ways, please tell the photographer on the day. 

All participants understand that it is their responsibility to read and comply with the terms and conditions for the Asics 10k.

Filming and photography at the event

Please note that Battersea (or our authorised service providers) or our commercial partners may film or photograph participants, volunteers and spectators attending or taking part in events and use such footage or photographs.

We do this in order to publicise the event for commercial and/or fundraising purposes including, but not limited to: television broadcasts, advertising, publications, marketing material, merchandising, social media, personalised direct mail and other media that may be made available to the public. Secondly, to enable our commercial partners to publicise their involvement and/or association with the event.

Your privacy rights

The data you’ve provided will be used by Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to process your event fee, confirm attendance and provide you with information about the event and the fundraising activities you’ve agreed to take part in.

To help us better understand our supporters, and to tailor our communication with you, we may analyse the information you provide. We sometimes use information from public sources.

If you’ve provided a postal address, we will contact you in this way with marketing we believe you’ll be interested in, unless you've told us not to.
